Lesson Title: My Views of the Sun and the Earth

Objectives: 1. Student will recognize and observe different parts of space.
2. Students will describe properties of space objects.
3. Students will use pictures and content to predict
content of a website.
4. Students will demonstrate the ability to work
collaboratively.

CDE Science: Investigation and Experimentation 4a. Observe common objects by
using the five senses. 4b. Describe the properties of common objects. 4c.
Describe the relative position of objects by using one reference (e.g., above or
below). 4d. Compare and sort common objects by one physical attribute (e.g.,
color, shape, texture, size, weight). 4e. Communicate observations orally and
through drawings.

CDE Language Arts: Reading Comprehension 2.5 Ask and answer questions about
essential elements of a text.

NETS: #1: Use input devices (e.g., mouse, keyboard, remote control) and output
devices (e.g., monitor, printer) to successfully operate computers, VCRs,
audiotapes, and other technologies. #5: Work cooperatively and collaboratively
with peers, family members, and others when using technology in the classroom.
#7: Practice responsible use of technology systems and software.

responsibly through the Internet.

Assessment: Informal as according to the oral language conventions. Formal as
