I am currently a Teacher of Students with moderate/severe disabilities grades 6-8. I am working towards a teacher librarian services credential. Course Syllabus for ETEC 523 Info and Digital Literacies states: Information and digital literacies; principles and theories for integrating technologies into learning environments to improve planning, designing, and implementing learning experiences; issues of technology planning, collaboration, and assessment; and digital citizenship.

In this assignment I was able to apply knowledge of multicultural, ethical and legal issues pertaining to using ICT with the global community by exploring Epistemology and asking the question “how do we know what we know?” It is the study of knowledge and uses conditions such as intuition, perception or reason to distinguish fact from fiction or opinion. While Ontology asks, “how do we know how things come to exist?” Ontology uses the conditions of epistemology to determine what exists. These are the first theories as to how information is understood and shared in the global community.
