This professional training course focuses on the historical lineage, technical framework, and global safeguarding of Northern Ssireum (Traditional Korean Wrestling), inscribed in 2018 on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Designed for international transmission practitioners, traditional wrestlers, and cultural representatives from 16 participating countries, this 12-week intensive program systematically delivers traditional biomechanics, historical archiving, basic refereeing, and foundational transmission methodologies.

The 12-week curriculum is organized into three integrated learning areas:

1. Core Practice: Northern Ssireum technical foundations, body mechanics, grips, footwork, balance, and practical transmission methods.

2. Comparative Research: Traditional wrestling cultures of the Silk Road and comparative approaches to regional wrestling heritage.

3. Humanities and Heritage Studies: Historical context, cultural identity, intangible cultural heritage safeguarding, documentation, and international cultural exchange.

To complete the INSF National Trainee Certification Program, participants must:
