This presentation is based on Dr. Kelly’s background in Science and Research. Dr. Kelly Previously served as president of Tulane University for 17 years. Tulane is a major private research university in the U.S. He has served as Board Chair to the Association of American Research Universities, including 60 major research universities in U.S. and Canada. He was the first social scientist ever to be elected as Chairman of the Board to United States Government’s National Science Foundation. Dr. Kelly was responsible for developing and allocating a 6 billion dollar annual budget. He currently serves as Board Chair for the National Center for Research on Advanced Digital and Information Technologies (Digital Promise) – a bipartisan congressionally mandated agency to apply digital technologies to education. He is also Board Chair of the Global Center for Research on Advanced Digital and Information Technologies (Digital Promise-Global). He served on the National Science Commissions for various international governments including both Rwanda and the Republic of Korea.
