4 parts include planning your topic sentence, writing a successful topic sentence, avoiding common problems and sample topic sentences.

Can scan longer texts in order to locate desired information, and gather information from different parts of a text, or from different texts in order to fulfill a specific task.

Can-Do Statements:
Reports and essays - can write short simple essays on topics of interest.
Can summarize, report and give his/her opinion about accumulated factual information on familiar routine and non-routine matters within his/her field with some confidence.
