Arizona State University's Center for Education Through Exploration (ETX) has received a $10.8 million grant from NASA's Science Mission Directorate Education Community to course redesign NASA's educational content incorporating the next generation adaptive/personalized eLearning Courseware (Smart Sparrow), gamification based-learning simulations/engaging interactive 3D models/interactive-mixed reality Holographic models  (Microsoft Hololens?*), interactive-media rich virtual field trips (iVTFs), and competency-based lessons (Inspark Science Network) requiring students to gain proficiency in particular abilities within the lesson. *( JPL/NASA is currently developing applications for Microsoft's Hololens).
