Healing Earth: Introduction

Healing Earth is an e-textbook that aims to provide scientific knowledge; aid students in thinking ethically as they study environmental science; identify their spirituality and how it relates to the natural world; and inform students of environmental activities around the world to inspire actions students can take within their own communities. The introductory chapter outlines this e-textbook's use of Ignatian Pedagogy framework, the scientific method, ethics and morality, spirituality, and action as it relates to environmental science with a particular focus on the teachings of St. Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus.
