Created by Eddie Shoesmith of the University College of Buckingham, this article illustrates important concepts of hypothesis testing, including the null and alternative hypotheses, power and sensitivity. The author admits that "hypothesis testing can be a difficult subject to introduce to students who are taking introductory courses in probability and statistics." Shoesmith look to remedy this by providing this step by step lesson. He intertwines graphs, tables and charts with detailed explanations of the concepts. Overall, this is a nice lesson plan for an introductory statistics course.
