A group of learners models the Sun shining on the Earth. By rotating the Earth, they demonstrate how the Sun only shines on a portion of the Earth at a time. Learners understand why there are different time zones around the Earth, and why it is daytime in some countries when it is nighttime in other countries. When learners set up a free account at Kinetic City, they can answer bonus questions at the end of the activity as a quick assessment. As a larger assessment, learners can complete the Smart Attack game after they've completed several activities.
