Egg Drop

Perform this classic inertia demonstration to illustrate the transfer of potential energy to kinetic energy. Eggs are placed in cardboard tubes on a thick piece of cardboard, suspended above cups of water. When the cardboard piece is knocked out of the way, the eggs fall down into the cups of water.
