PCBs in the Last Frontier: A Case Study on the Scientific Method

This case study asks students to examine how PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls) are transferred globally. The lesson will provide students a review of the scientific method, and encourage them to design experiments that test a hypothesis. The lesson could be used in high school or undergraduate coursework. The case study and teaching notes may be downloaded in PDF format. The site also includes a section for instructor feedback where general comments may be read and contributed.
