Interviews: Taking a Tally of the Siberian Tiger
This radio broadcast features an interview with a wildlife conservationist who recently conducted a count to determine the population size of the Siberian tiger. The results were something of a surprise: instead of a decreasing population, like most expected, the numbers remained about the same as a decade ago. There is explanation of how tiger tracks were used to estimate population size, why the tigers are rarely seen, and what usually happens during close encounters with a tiger. The clip is 4 minutes and 20 seconds in length.
