The eLearnReady assessment tool is very easy to use and the feedback element makes this tool exceptional. Now more than ever tools such as this can be useful for students and faculty alike. This self reporting assessment gives students an overall level of competency in seven areas related to online learning readiness via a series of survey questions. A report is then provided to the student and can be shared with the instructor or an advisor. The report includes comparison of student with others who have completed the survey, strengths of the student in each area and suggestions of how to be successful in each area, including short video's. Faculty can also create an account and assign a specific survey link by class if they want to collect class data. A specific survey link is shared with the class for this purpose and the faculty member receives an analysis with helpful tips and recommendations also. I took the survey, sent it to myself when given the option to share with my instructor, created an account, created a class to get a "class" survey link, and tested every aspect of the assessment tool and website function. Easy to use, takes very little time, and provides excellent data and recommendations to the student to help them work through the online learning experience. If the faculty chooses to provide the survey via "class account" and gather the data for their own use they have a great way to enhance the online learning experience proactively as well!
