Summary At the opening ceremony of the 2016 World Conservation Congress, Governor David Ige announced the Sustainable Hawaiʻi Initiative to the global conservation community. The initiative is comprised of 5 goals meant to, as the brochure puts it, “Strengthen our waters, land, and food for Hawaii’s communities.”
