Summary

On September 25th 2015, member countries of the United Nations adopted a set of goals to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years. The goals are encompassing and within each one more specific facts and figures, targets, and links are provided on the website. The SDGs are not legally binding but a framework on how any society can become sustainable and build a sustainable world. There is even a list of actions the average individual can take help.
