The Environmental Protection & Sustainability Division administers recycling and landfill diversion programs throughout the County, including regional recycling centers, HI-5 redemption centers, yard waste collection center, used motor oil collection, metals and abandoned vehicles.

The goal of the Division is to embody the three principles of reducing waste by eliminating unnecessary packaging and limited-life products, reusing viable resources and recycling materials for re-manufacture while providing efficient and high quality services to the people of Maui County.
