City of Grand Rapids’ Sustainable Development Plan

The city of Grand Rapids uses a Quadruple Bottom Line (QBL) approach, which is similar to the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) approach used by many but is expanded to include Governmental Accountability. So, Grand Rapids measures sustainability using (1) Environmental Quality, (2) Social Responsibility, (3) Economic Prosperity, and (4) Governmental Accountability.
