Digitizing Audio

Java application to help visualize concepts of digital sampling and quantization, in this case of audio signals.  Use sliders to vary frequency of a sine wave, the sampling rate, and the bits per sample.  See mapping of analog input ranges to digital encodings, visual representation of the waveform that can be generated from the digitized information, and a list of sample values. Modified January, 2007 to produce audio output of the generated waveform.

The subject is relevant to eletronic and computer engineering students, but the navigation through this learning material should friendly. In other words, working with java could never be a pre requisite for the students to be able to use this learning resource.
