Ever wondered how can a laser point to great distances. This site breaks down the basics starting first with the atom, by actually reading this material a person certainly can be knowledgeable about lasers. It then moves into how energy is absorbed and how light is emitted. The site goes on also to discuss the types of lasers that are produced. It actually get really technical after the first few pages so i wouldn’t recommend it to high school students, however with a physics background a student should be able to understand the basics. It could actually be used as reference material as opposed to material to study from. The illustrations are brilliantly done and supports the material well. The text is small but still allows the reader to be comfortable while taking in the material.
