As little as a decade ago, our primary information seeking patterns centered on access to needed resources. The Web has shifted the focus from information access to sense making around abundant information. The tremendous challenges we currently face in staying current and making sense of "what it all means" will continue to intensify. To function, we require not only new tools (which are starting to emerge through search engines, RSS aggregators) but also new methods for coping and functioning
This session will explore visualization, networks, and ecologies as means of information management and sense making.
