The lesson plan that is provided is a great starting point for teaching about philanthropy and how we are all part of something larger. The additional information about the UN Sustainability Goals is a great tool to further this discussion. This material could be adapted for ages other than the recommended ages. You have to sign up with the organization to get copies of the handouts.
