PACER Center

The PACER Center is an organization devoted to helping parents and their children with disabilities. Most services are free and are available by phone, and in person. PACER is well known for its workshops, parent and student resources and its extensive array of print and online materials. The organization is locate in Minneapolis and "it serves families across the nation, as well as those in Minnesota. Parents can find publications, workshops, and other resources to help make decisions about education, vocational training, employment, and other services for their children with disabilities". Established in the late 70s PACER's mission is to "expand opportunities and enhance the quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities and their families, based on the concept of parents helping parents".
