This applet demonstrates how the instantaneous velocity can be approximated as the time interval is decreased for an object traveling in a circle. The user can either increase or decrease the time interval and watch the value of the average velocity change slightly. As the time interval is continually decreased, the instantaneous velocity approaches a fixed value.
