According to Intute, Analyzing and overcoming the sociological fragmentation in Europe (Anovasofie) is a cooperative project initiated by the European Commission in 2004. It involved eight European countries and aimed to provide comparative information about the development of sociology within Austria, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Poland, Sweden and Turkey. It is also a study of "the status of sociology as a discipline". The site aims to be a 'living tool' which will be kept up to date by contributions from anyone with a sociological background in each of the countries involved. The project's report can be accessed.
