Anatomy of the poem: Dejeuner du matin
This teaching experience uses a poem, Déjeuner du matin, to review or reinforce the passé composé tense in French in a HS level 2 or 3 French class. The poem also provides an opportunity to compare cultures, (French with student's culture), use critical thinking skills when discussing the relationship between the 2 characters in the poem, and lastly the post-reading activity allows students to be creative when writing their own poems....
