There has been a ballooning of apps for smartphones in the past two years.  This report from the Pew Internet & American Life Project looks at how adults are using these apps, and how their use might change over time.   This report is based on a Pew Internet telephone survey of 2,252 U.S. adultsand Nielsen data from an analysis of 3,962 adults.  This 46-page report can be read online or downloaded.
