Geographical Variation of Spanish Language

Geographical Variation of Spanish Language

Course Highlights I will explain the variations of Spanish in a 12-part series of lectures. Spanish is a great language spoken by 350,000,000 people in 20 countries all over the world. When compared with other languages, it is said that the regional variation is little. Nevertheless, the way of pronunciation and the form and meanings of words are subtly different. In this series, we won't focus on the details, we will only explain the most important points in the features of each country or region. The structure of series consists of three parts: Part 1.Trip, Part 2. Looking for language, Part 3. Broadening of the language. In Part1., I will introduce the current situation of Spanish in each country or area. In Part2., I will explain my research about the variation of Spanish in each country or area. In Part 3., I will describe common concepts, found in Spanish all over the world. I will pick up and comment on one part of the survey done by our research group.
