Hernias can affect both boys and girls and sometimes it is confusing what exactly a hernia is.  A hernia is a weak spot in a muscle or tissue that allows an organ to come through the weak spot that may cause discomfort.  TeensHealth provides a great description of hernias, as well as risks and causes of hermias.  There is a listening option for the younger kids and a tab that is dedicated for each member of the family.  There is a parents tab, a kids tab, and a teen tab.
