Dr. Borgmann was interviewed by Laureano Ralon on August 16th, 2010 as part of the Figure/Ground Communication scholarly interview series: http://www.figureground.ca/interviews/ Albert Borgmann is an American philosopher, specializing in the philosophy of technology. He was born in Freiburg, Germany, and is a professor of philosophy at the University of Montana. He has an MA in literature from the University of Illinois (Urbana) and a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Munich (Germany). Since 1970 he has taught at the University of Montana. His special area is the philosophy of society and culture with particular emphasis on technology.
