The object of study of this research is the graphic materialization of intentional thinking, the design, as a matter of theorizing and understanding with the defining particularities that condition its significance in the context of digital technology, concepts such as interactivity and linearity clearly set its nature. In the above conditions, the epistemological and methodological approach will be based on two interdisciplinary relationships, the first, semiotic, as it interests the factors that determine the surplus of meaning in interactive graphic communication, the second, philosophical, in the specific field of hermeneutics, in the proposal of an exegetical position in which the understanding of the phenomenon of semiosis is conditioned by interpretative aspects. The research structure first includes the fundamental conceptualization, moderated from philosophical thinking in relation to the theory of graphic communication, to support the idea of interpretation of meaning in the so-called dialogic relationship. This paper proposes a dissertation based on the Gadamerian philosophical current and postulates the consideration of a new paradigm in design theory, the current of hermeneutic semiosis. As part of the gnoseological plot, the discursive and intentional dimensions of the semiosis phenomenon subjected to its incursion in the domain of visual signs are described and characterized with the consequent argumentation of the latter in both language and its textual manifestation for, subsequently, Emphasize and specify the terms in which such concepts are applied in non-linear graphic communication.
