March 2020's issue from the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) aims to "provide the learner with knowledge of AORN's guidelines related to laundering microfiber cleaning supplies, the significance of contact time during cleaning, mask use during cystoscopy and tonsillectomy procedures, use of radiopaque towels, and personal fragrances in the perioperative setting." It has three objectives:

1. Discuss practices that could jeopardize safety in the perioperative area.
2. Discuss common areas of concern that relate to perioperative best practices.
3. Describe implementation of evidence‐based practice in relation to perioperative nursing care.
