Spotify is a highly functional and effective organizing system which provides music streaming services to users. The growing popularity of Spotify is mainly attributed to the system's ability to tailor listening recommendations to users based on past behavior and accurately predicting future behavior with the help of artificial intelligence. These behaviors are evaluated and built upon through the creation of personalized playlists, song retrieval, browsing, etc. While Spotify is overall effective as an organizing system, each platform always has room for improvement and critical feedback is highly encouraged. By the end of this lesson, students will be able to fulfill the two following learning objectives:

1. Interact with Spotify’s various organizational elements, including being able to:

1.1  Create a playlist

1.2  Retrieve songs

1.3  Browse new music

2. Provide critical feedback through:

(1) Class interactions using participants menu in Zoom application

(2) Posting to the class discussion board and answering the following questions: Which music streaming service do you use and why? What is one thing that Spotify does very well? What is one thing that Spotify could do to improve its platform for users?
