This is a peer-reviewed educational series on LiDAR remote sensing.

The first presentation provides an introduction to LiDAR remote sensing. The basic fundamentals and the physical principles affecting lasers in remote sensing are discussed.

The second presentation discusses the characteristics of laser scanning. The focus is on the integration of scanners into both terrestrial and airborne LiDAR data collection systems.

The third presentation provides an overview on LiDAR data analysis. The focus is on LiDAR data structure and processing techniques to derive common elevation products.

The fourth presentation provides an overview on LiDAR applications across built and natural environments. Particular emphasis is placed on corridor mapping and forestry applications.
