The OER is a tutorial video teaching the basic concepts of probability. It is intended for both high school and undergrad students. The whole video is original. During my first year studying at university, I found that probability is useful for data analytics and some calculations in computer science. However, without a strong mathematical background, I found it difficult to understand certain probability concepts from a mathematical perspective. Therefore, I tried to learn it with daily life examples, and this becomes an inspiration for me to create the tutorial animation. Being a student, I like interactive methods for learning so I decided to create an OER animation instead of a document or PowerPoint. In addition, OER in form of videos is convenient for tutors to teach because they can simply play a video to introduce the basic concepts first and students can have a more complete picture before learning some complicated concepts. The three-minute tutorial video mainly consists of 2 parts. The first part explains what probability is with an example of coin-flipping. The second part shows how to calculate probability with permutation and combination in some cases. With the movement of icons, the situation in each case can be clearly shown. This makes the content easier to understand. Also, the video includes different practices. Before or after introducing a concept, a related example will be shown. This aims to invite students to think together and try to make use of the concepts learned.
