The CDC has developed training for healthcare professionals on prevention of HAIs in the clinical setting. This lesson can be applied to higher level clinical staff in the hospital setting to formulate HAI prevention teams and identify key players in clinical prevention of HAI. Additionally, information can be utilized from the lesson to create individualized lessons on HAI prevention on the unit level. This lesson specifically identifies upper level hospital management, leadership, physicians, nurses, and environmental services on their impact on prevention of healthcare associated infections.
