A new UNESCO report argues that education needs to be adapted and reinvented in order to support and prepare future generations for the changes and challenges taking place in society and the environment. Reimagining Our Futures Together: A New Social Contract for Education took two years to compile and involved consultations with over a million people. Education will need to focus on the links between cultures and relationships as disparities in society are growing. Nelson Mandela stated that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”, and education needs to adapt in order to support that change.
