This specific material is extremely thorough and would benefit any individual looking for a job. However, the intended audience seems to be first time job seekers. It should be noted that this source is intended for Canadian job seekers. It explains a variety of Candian laws that apply to job seekers. Despite this, the source covers a broad range of information in detail that it would be useful to many job seekers around the world. The most unique section that stood out to me was located in chapter one under the Assess section. In this section, it goes over different work values an individual might hold. I believe that this is important to reference because many first-time job seekers do not have a deep understanding about how different companies have different work cultures. This section introduces these ideas to the reader and has them think critical about what would be a priority in a work environment. Lastly, I really enjoyed the inclusiveness of international and disabled job seekers. I think the author did a good job in selecting topics for this chapter. Overall, this source is great for first time job seekers to use. However, I did not see a section that explores salaries and other employee benefits. I believe that would make this material more valuable than it already is.
