Recent videos of sightings of unidentified arial phenomena (UAP) has spurned the creation of the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (Georgiou, 2021) to standardize the collection and reporting on sightings of unexplained aerial vehicles, previously termed unidentified flying objects (UFOs). The recent reports concentrate on the perception of observers of the object’s speed viewed in excess of 13,000 (mph) and observations of maneuvers which appear to contradict known laws of nature. While these observations are intriguing, basic mathematics can explain the perception of speed. Unidentified Arial Phenomena movements can be explained in the Earth’s sidereal period calculated with Earth’s speed around the Sun. Albert Einstein’s Theory of Relativity provides a possible solution.
