This course package is designed as an introduction to general and applied science. It satisfies the learning outcomes for British Columbia Adult Basic Education Intermediate General and Applied Science (Science 10 in B.C.)  and found in the most recent edition of the B.C. ABE Articulation Handbook. Students are introduced to important basic science concepts relevant to the general or allied health sciences. The principles of biology, physics, and chemistry are studied in a modularized format with an emphasis on the connection between disciplines. Throughout the three modules (chemistry, biology, physics), students explore the scientific method, take part in peer discussions, develop problem-solving skills in classroom and laboratory settings, and learn required skills and knowledge for Grade 10 Science that will prepare them to further explore their areas of interest. 

This resource includes PowerPoint lecture slides, an instructor's guide and lab manual, an assignment package overview that documents all assignment prompts for the course, and a capstone project outline. Quizzes and mini-finals, including answers keys, are also available to instructors upon request.

For the student, there are student guides and laboratory manuals for each of the three modules.
