Acid Lipase is an interesting disease. It's a disorder where the enzyme needed to break down certain fatty material is missing. When this enzyme is missing, fat ends up building up in the body's cells, causing tissues to eventually become toxic. It's very unfortunate that there has yet to be a cure because it is rare and thus, not studied as much.
