This instructional material is for the learners, textile creators/designers or anyone interested in designing handwoven textiles using Computer-Aided Design (CAD). By following the instructions given, the users can design motifs and layouts of handwoven textiles. It covers the basic tools to create woven designs, motif development, layout development and creating colour-ways of woven textiles in CAD. It further guides learners in designing motifs and layouts of three handwoven textiles of India, particularly of Gujarat region, i.e. Dhabla of Kachchh, Tangaliya of Surendranagar and Ashavali saris of Ahmedabad.
