The final title in the Atmospheric Science series builds upon concepts explained in the earlier volumes to describe atmospheric circulation and how this process redistributes energy across the Earth’s surface. The book begins with a description of atmospheric pressure and proceeds to describe on air movements on the Earth’s surface. The volume also describes the different air circulations observed on Earth and some consequences of such air movement, including monsoons and land and sea breezes. A glossary is provided at the end of the book for quick reference to key definitions mentioned in the text.
