Nutrition in Emergencies and Humanitarian Crises is a free open-access learning resource covering the main forms of malnutrition relevant to humanitarian action (wasting, stunting and micronutrient deficiencies), and small and vulnerable newborns, as well as key prevention and response interventions, including infant and young child feeding (IYCF) protection and nurturing care in emergencies.

The resource also addresses hunger, food insecurity measurement (IPC), and the technical and political dimensions of famine confirmation and declaration. It includes eight pages, AI-assisted reflection exercises, and an integrated case study. Designed for humanitarian health practitioners, public health students, and capacity-building facilitators, it draws on current WHO, UNICEF, and cluster-endorsed frameworks, guidelines, and relevant scientific evidence.
