Het Nederlands is a free online Dutch dictionary built for language learners. Every entry begins with a clear definition in Dutch — the immersion approach — then offers translations into English, German, Chinese, Ukrainian, Turkish, or Spanish. 724,563 words include real example sentences drawn from conversations, news, and literature, plus native pronunciation audio. Frequency data (from 44 million words of Dutch subtitles) and CEFR levels (from graded NT2 textbooks) appear on every word so learners can focus on what matters at their level. Built on the Nederlandse Taalunie's official Woordenlijst, OpenTaal's open-source wordlists, SUBTLEX-NL frequency data, and the NT2Lex CEFR resource. Free, no account required, works on any device.
