At Home in the Heartland

At Home in the Heartland

"At Home in the Heartland" is based upon a 1992 museum exhibit about family life in Illinois from 1700 to the present. The site is divided into six time periods. Within each section, site users find biographical sketches; timelines; maps; examples of material culture; audio components; exercises comparing the lifestyles and experiences of various racial, ethnic, and economic groups; and lesson plans.
