A Curriculum of U.S. Labor History for Teachers

A Curriculum of U.S. Labor History for Teachers

This site aims to give teachers the tools to increase student understanding of the American economic system and the important issues workers face today. A primary theme of this project is how laborers have earned a voice in the workplace and increased their share of the economic pie. The site author divides United States history into eleven basic periods. For each period, he provides an overview of the main events and issues of US history, and for many periods, he also provides lesson plans, documents, and handouts that teachers can use to structure classroom discussion and assignments. The site also contains a bibliography and a list of significant people in US labor history.
