This is a simulation of a simple one compartment model - with inflow and outflow. It will approach an equilibrium as it runs. Some (not all) parameters can be varied. (More discussion is available at http://hescgi.oit.ncsu.edu/cequil-disc.html ) This learning object was originally placed at The Harvey Project which was was devoted to human physiology - and is apparently no longer operational. While the one compartment model is important in physiology, its use is not restricted to physiology.
