Any public or private classroom is eligible to participate in the Bugscope project. Bugscope is primarily oriented for K-12 classrooms but applications are also encouraged from informal education programs such as after-school or museum programs. There is no cost to participate in the project. Links include some excellent web sites dealing with insects or with arthropods in general. Bugscope offers A Brief Overview of the Arthropods (Phylum Arthropoda), Online Arthropod Activities for different grade levels, Insect Order Information (written in language anyone would understand and including links to "Best of the Web" for each insect Order), and info about Non-insect Arthropods such as pill bugs and brine shrimp.
