This app presents a checklist with the five items of the IHI Ventilator Bundle for preventing ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). According to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, the greater the adherence to all items included in the bundle, the greater the reduction of VAP.

1. Define the location where adherence to the bundle will be monitored.

2. Perform the checklist daily for patients on mechanical ventilation.

3. Periodically, generate reports to evaluate adherence to the bundle.
