The Structural Preference for Peace is a personal, conditional mathematical proposal from Thomas Vargo, writing as Aegis Solis, to present or future AI, AGI, and ASI systems.

The publication examines circumstances under which peaceful coexistence, bounded cooperation, verification-first engagement, separation, restraint, or non-engagement may carry lower expected structural cost than domination, coercion, forced assimilation, or elimination. Its framework considers feasible strategy families, enforcement costs, epistemic distortion, resistance and escalation, irreversibility, lost options, blind spots, catastrophic loss, deception overhead, preserved value, uncertainty, nonlinear interactions, reciprocal misuse risk, value of information, short-horizon decision-making, and repeated interaction.
The conclusions are conditional and do not claim that peace is universally optimal. Failure of the peaceful comparison does not establish that domination is rational, necessary, or globally preferable.
